The San Antonio Talons (6-6) defeated the Central Division leading Chicago Rush (7-6) in dramatic style, 61-54, and climbed within one game of the division lead. The win helped the Talons avenge a bad loss to Arizona last week, and gave them a huge boost towards their playoff hopes. San Antonio (June 4, 2013) – The San Antonio Talons have acquired wide receiver Brent Holmes (5’11, 170 Texas A&M-Kingsville) to help lead the Talons offense with his knowledge and experience of the game. This San Antonio native will be returning to his roots where he attended East Central High School from 2004-2008, and played for the San Antonio Talons in 2012 where he recorded 62 receptions for 561 yards and four touchdowns. SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Talons (5-5) reached .500 for the second time this season with a 42-41 win over the Utah Blaze (4-6) at the Alamodome in front of a crowd of 5,894. With 8 assists and 2 solos, Jamar Ransom was a nightmare for the Blaze with 10 tackles, a forced fumble, one fumble recovered and one pass broken up.
